Clock Troubleshooter
Your chime melody is wrong or out of sequence.
The internal adjustment mechanisms that control either which quarter is playing or which notes are being played are usually held in place by set screws. If the screws loosen, or if they weren't tightened in the correct location in the first place, this can cause the sequence to be incorrect. A qualified repairperson should be able to correct this adjustment.
